micro photonics is an unique platform for the development, production and application of miniaturized optical components worldwide. After the successful preview in November 2015 the experts and knowledge exchange will continue at the premiere of the micro photonics from 11 – 13 October 2016. The trade fair and extensive congress program will provide many opportunities finding customers and partners from the developing market of nano- and micro photonics as well as biophotonics.
Expo
The entire value chain starting from the application-related research and technique to the completed systems and machines will be presented at micro photonics.
The featured topics of the expo are:
Optomechanical and optoelectronic components
MEMS
Micro-optical systems
Manufacturing technology
System development
System integration
Sensors, measurement and testing technology
Optical analysis and sensors
Manufacture of scientific instruments
Imaging
UV/VIS-/IR/ X-ray spectroscopy
New technologies

Medical technology
Micro-material processing
Congress
The congress will combine the newest trends from micro- and nanophotonics and biophotonics. In addition, there will be a well-rounded proportion of scientific themes and industry lectures presented during that time. The director of the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (IPHT) in Jena, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Popp, is the chairman of the program committee.
Core focus areas:
Micro- and Nanophotonics
Biophotonics
